I have not blogged anything for a week..... so here it goes.
Last Wednesday, I did snatches and Clean and Jerks, I did not go to heavy was working on form for both, and only advanced in weight if the lift went smooth. I stopped with the snatch at 115lbs. I then did 155 on the C&J and it felt really good so I continued right onto to 175 and it was pretty smooth as well. I stopped there.
"Elizabeth"
21-15-9 reps of:
Clean 135 pounds
Ring dips
I love this WOD, the last time I did this WOD I finished it in sub 10 minutes. This time, I knew I was in trouble when after rep 3 of the first 21 my legs were already on fire. I finished the WOD in 14:40. I added 5 minutes to my PR. ugh.... I blame it on little rest, squats and c&j's the day before, either way its not my fault.... lol, now I sound like a liberal.
"Nicole"
Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
Run 400 meters
Max rep Pull-ups
I went into this one with the complete attitude of not doing it. I then did it, and knocked out 40 pull ups in te first round. I did 5 rounds total and was happy with my overall performance, I did 119 pull ups total. It is only 6 pull ups less than last time I did this one. I honestly feel it is because of running on the treadmill, not being able to 'get going' on the runs fast enough.
Last night I did:
"Kelly"
Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
30 Box jump, 24 inch box
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
Post time to comments.
Last time I did this was something in the 31 minute range. ( I am having a problem with logsitall so I am not sure to my last score) anyhow, this time I did it in 31:42, and I do blame my slower time on waiting for the treadmill to get going.
I felt pretty good about this one afterwards, but I felt awful going into it. I worked during the superbowl, and may have had a bit to drink and eat. Very unclean weekend.
eat cleaner, and train harder.

Good to see you back on the horse. 40 Pull-ups the first round of Nicole is impressive. That is something I still can not consistently do. Did you do squat clean for Elizabeth?
Have you tried the split snatch? It seems much easier to catch the bar in the split, compared to the squat. You do have to pull it higher, but if you can power clean a weight, it seems to me like you should be able to split snatch it (the height is about the same for the 2 lifts)
Anyway, Jason, good to see you were never off the horse, take care,
Pat
Yeah, I had not blogged in a week, it was wearing on me, like a homework assignment due...
Anyhow no I have not tried the split snatch yet, I will though. I plan on it probably next week when I do some oly lifting. I am going to take a break from O lifting for the rest of this week. I just though about it I forgot to post the WOD from Tuesday... huh... thats funny. I will add it in.
Olifting is fun, but it affects me big time. It is so CNS intensive, especially when combining it with METCONs. I think I can do 1 heavy snatch/C&J session once every 2 weeks. Otherwise, the speed to get under the bar is just not there.
Keep up the homework assignments,
Pat
